Stoke Gifford Hitachi Rail Depot

Hitachi Rail Depot – Stoke Gifford, Filton

iFix was awarded the steel fixing contract for this flagship project near Filton, Bristol early in 2014.  The contract was to be completed over a 14 month period and at one instance carried over 20 skilled steel fixers.

The total tonnage fixed throughout was near 1000 metric tons split into four sections.

1. A 400m long subterranean Culvert.
2. A 170m long subterranean Culvert.
3. New Hitathi electrical train maintenance building that was over 500m in length
4. New Wheel Lathe maintenance building.

This high calibre project was completed incident free and on schedule.  iFix Reinforcements Ltd played an integral part in the completion of this  project and was held in high regard with the principal Contractor Volker Fitzpatrick and also the sub contractor Byrne & King.
